Patient Pilot Terms of Service

These terms cover the Medx patient pilot, including accounts, record organization, AI-assisted analysis and specialist matching.

Important: this is a pilot draft. Qualified counsel must review it against the actual operator, service regions and vendors. It must not be used for production medical services before that review is complete.

Draft date: 2026-09-17 · Version: 2026-09-17-pilot.9

Nature and scope of the service

Medx provides tools for information organization, consultation preparation and medical-resource coordination. Medx does not itself provide diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment or emergency care. Summaries, treatment-pathway leads and specialist matches are for discussion with a licensed clinician.

For chest pain, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness or another emergency, contact local emergency services immediately and do not wait for a platform response.

AI-assisted processing

Medical-record text and any imaging you choose to submit may be processed by configured language models, OCR, imaging-analysis services and their infrastructure providers. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your situation and must be reviewed by a qualified medical professional.

Submit only material you are entitled to provide, and obtain any required authorization before sharing another person’s information.

Optional clinical-trial matching

Clinical-trial matching is off by default. It processes selected records and a completed AI report only after you activate it and provide separate confirmation, in order to derive public-registry search criteria and preliminary matches. Match scores, recruitment status, investigator details and sites are automated pre-screening and public-registry information; they are not confirmation of eligibility, medical advice or acceptance by a study site.

Only de-identified condition search terms are submitted to public registries; source medical records are not sent to those registries. Selecting “contact a Case Manager” creates an internal Medx assistance request and does not automatically send records to a study site. If records later need to be shared with a site, Medx must describe the scope and obtain the applicable authorization again.

Electronic record and source files

With your explicit consent, Medx archives uploaded PDFs, Word (.docx) files, JPG/PNG images, supported text files, imaging reports and original DICOM imaging that you choose to retain, and stores extracted text, structured records, AI reports, dates, institution names and file metadata for timeline and record verification. Imaging reports are handled as ordinary documents. If you submit a ZIP, Medx repackages it before archival and retains only parse-valid, byte-unchanged DICOM instances; the original ZIP container and non-DICOM entries are not retained. Original imaging is kept in an isolated private imaging namespace and read only through the protected DICOM Viewer flow.

You, doctors you have authorized and your assigned Case Manager may access relevant material only to the minimum extent needed to provide the service; access is recorded in audit logs. Source files are retained for comparison and verification. Retention and deletion follow patient requests, applicable backup cycles, and security, audit and other legal obligations.

Vendors and cross-border scenarios

Model, cloud or care-coordination providers may be outside your jurisdiction. Whether cross-border processing occurs depends on final configuration, service region and the pathway you select. Before production, Medx must identify relevant providers and processing locations, describe safeguards, and obtain any authorization or separate consent required by law.

A listed physician or institution has not necessarily accepted your case, qualified for cross-border telemedicine or confirmed availability. Each point requires separate verification.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide information that is as accurate, complete and lawfully obtained as possible, and correct errors promptly;
  • Protect account credentials and sign out after using a shared device;
  • Verify medical, travel and payment decisions with qualified professionals;
  • Do not upload malicious code, impersonate others or interfere with the service.

Retention, deletion and contact

The pilot has not finalized a production retention schedule. Source files archived with patient consent, extracted text and structured records are retained while the account is active. Medx will respond to patient requests for access, correction, export or deletion, although deletion may be limited by backup cycles, audit, security or other legal obligations. A defined schedule and response period must be added before production.

Pilot privacy/deletion contact placeholder: privacy-contact@YOUR-DOMAIN (must be replaced and verified before production). General support: support@noahmedx.com.

Changes and disputes

Production terms must add the legal operator, governing law, dispute process, fees and refunds, interruption terms and appropriate liability provisions. Material changes should be presented as a new version and confirmed again where required by law.
